Thanks for coming to visit. Here's a bit about me. Whilst much I what I devote my time to on a professional and educational level tends to be rooted in the theatre, I wasn't introduced to this world growing up and I left school unaware of the undiscovered riches that awaited! It was only when I was eighteen and a friend dragged me along ( I was a tad reluctant) to the Barbican Theatre in Plymouth, to what was the beginning of a new youth theatre group. That Tuesday evening everything changed as a magical and beautiful universe opened up before me. I have been passionate about the theatre and a student of it ever since.
I learnt some stuff about acting at L.A.M.D.A. A truly excellent drama school where I trained back in the day, and where I was fortunate enough to have been employed for a little over fifteen years as a movement tutor, theatre maker, movement director, choreographer and audition panelist.
In addition to teaching, I very much enjoy working as an performer should the right project come along. I'm still into dancing and being super physical although I've not danced professionally since donning my feathers in Mathew Bourne's Swan Lake way back in 2000.
A few years before the drama training I was putting my body through it's paces over three very challenging years at Rambert Dance School.
I've travelled abroad a fair bit as a perfomer and teacher but I'm still yet to do South America; it's on my list and I'm open to offers.! Currently I'm spending a lot of time teaching and enjoying fatherhood. I'm interested in collaborations with passionate creatives. I'm interested in making important, transformational work. And having a laugh. I'm becoming increasingly drawn to working with and in film. We shall see...
